You might be disappointed if you were hoping for a "pure" horror film though - this isn't exactly Event Horizon, more A Space Odyssey.

Votes: 5, Good, almost great psychological horror film. The acting ranges from pretty good to a bit ropey, seemingly at random, it's all a tiny bit uneven as a whole.
There's a weird supernatural element to the film that almost works, with some strange body-horror and surrealist imagery, but it doesn't quite tie up.
The last 5 minutes were a bit pants and ruined a decent climax to the awesome third act. Definitely worth a look if you're into oddball horror films, just note that this isn't prefect.

Votes: 7, Wonderfully weird surrealist horror. Leans incredibly hard on the work of Dario Agento, as well as Italian Giallo in general, almost to the point of parody - but its incredibly dark sense of humour and retro British slant saves it from just being a pastiche of those earlier works.
My only real gripe is the way it's split in two distinct halves, with two loosely connected stories playing out one after the other.
Personally, I would have preferred the film to wrap up after the first half, as it pretty much ground to a halt at the midway point and lost overall impact as a result.
I might be in the minority tho, you may love it all! Years following the events of The Shining , a now-adult Dan Torrance must protect a young girl with similar powers from a cult known as The True Knot, who prey on children with powers to remain immortal.
Votes: , Very solid continuation of The Shining story. Some may argue whether it's a story that needed continuing, and I guess that's still up for debate.
I enjoyed it, although it's not up to the same "all time classic" standard as the first film, so adjust your expectations accordingly.

Votes: 3, R 90 min Horror, Sci-Fi. A mother gives her year-old son a toy doll for his birthday, unaware of its more sinister nature. Lots of laughs, gore and Mark Hamill does a great job voicing Chucky.
The rest of the cast are all very good, also. Bit of a shame the detective side-plot doesn't really go anywhere, as I think it would have fleshed out the film a lot more - to see them trying to uncover who or what the killer is, maybe give a bit more backstory to the toy company as well, as they investigate the feasibility of a malfunctioning doll.
Only a minor gripe tho! R 94 min Comedy, Fantasy, Horror. Rose, a mostly sweet and lonely Irish driving instructor, must use her supernatural talents to save the daughter of Martin also mostly sweet and lonely from a washed-up rock star who is using her in a Satanic pact to reignite his fame.
A charming, very silly Irish comedy with a supernatural horror theme and retro, Argento-esque aesthetic. R 97 min Crime, Horror, Thriller. Evan values family above all else, and anyone who gets between him, his wife, and newborn son learns that the hard way.
But when it comes to violent tendencies, it seems the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Sean William Scott actually makes a very good serial killer!
