There were no real stakes and Friezas plan was stupid and deeply flawed.
The fights were ok, I guess, but the most interesting stuff to me was the z fighters taking on Friezas army before Goku arrived. The only part of this movie I can really praise are the visuals.
The characters and backgrounds look great I am a huge Dragon Ball Super fan but i only had decent expectations about this one because I got into the anime full time at the Tournament of Power and kind of went backwards.
I never really liked Frieza in Z but after all of this I definitely like the character a lot more especially for the sub. Something really stupid happens to Goku near the end that almost killed the entire movie for me.
And why can't Vegeta ever be the best? Anyway, if you've ever loved Z than you owe it to your self to catch up and start watching Super. Saw this movie twice and I enjoy it both times!
The ultimate rematch between Frieza vs. Goku is basically what I remember about this show: action-packed fighting with power moves like the classic Kamehamaha wave!
Kick my nostalgia into overdrive! Dragon Ball Super has a few minor changes compared to this movie: more screen time with Tagoma, return of a certain Ginyu Force member, shorter pacing time, and mediocre animation quality.

The film deals with Goku, Vegeta, Jaco the Galactic Patrolman, and the other characters getting drawn into a situation that they are pretty much forced to partake in when Frieza becomes involved.
To complicate the situation Frieza at first comes back stronger than before in the beginning of the film while Goku and Vegeta are also partaking in some training.

Definitely worth checking out. In terms of action I actually think this movie beats Battle of Gods, by including a lot more fight scenes with even the weaker characters such as Master Roshi and Krillin getting a chance to shine as well.
As you have probably guessed the story revolves around the return Frieza my all time favourite DBZ villain , and his long awaited rematch with Goku.
I won't spoil the ending, so I'll just say it's an awesome fight that you don't want to miss out on. Highly recommended for any Dragonball fan.
I love Dragonball, however as enjoyable as this film was it was disappointing in that there was just not enough. Frieza was a big let down Films do no do this franchise justice and I'm glad to hear they are continuing the series!
If you love Dragonball it's worth a watch. Report abuse. Easily the best Dragon Ball movie to date. The animation is the best its ever been and the sound qualtiy is incredible.
In addition, its FUNNY, as in organically funny, not "oh that's so bad its funny" its a genuinely funny movie, to the point where it kind of makes you feel like you are watching the original Dragon Ball series.
Only gripe is the use of CG animation at times, while it is not heavily relied on it can be very obvious when it is used, although it does not take away from the overall experience.
